growing up in rajasthan, and now having lived in toronto for almost a decade, i find myself looking back at home a little differently. through childhood memories, visits to my hometown, and wandering through rajasthan’s museums, i’ve found myself drawn to the beauty of our traditional silhouettes all over again — the grandeur of ghagras, the charm of a borla, and the details that carry generations of history.
some of these memories are vivid, others a little blurry, but they’ve stayed with me in ways i’m only beginning to understand.
this look is my own interpretation of the traditional ghagra — not a reproduction, but a way of reconnecting with a part of myself through fabric, movement, and memory.
perhaps that’s what coming home looks like, even when you’ve been away for a while.
